How we handle pool deck cleaning
Pool decks come in many finishes: brushed concrete, pavers, travertine and spray-on coatings. Each one needs a different approach. We lower pressure on coatings and natural stone and use a surface cleaner on sound concrete.
We work to keep debris and dirty water out of the pool by directing rinse water away from it, and we're careful around lights, drains and screen enclosures.
Surfaces and applications
- Concrete and textured spray-coated decks
- Paver and travertine pool decks
- Coping edges (gentle cleaning only)
- Pool cage floors and nearby walkways
Benefits
- Safer footing around the pool
- Removes dark algae in low and shaded spots
- Brightens the whole backyard
- Helps you spot loose pavers or cracks
Honest limitations
Faded coatings won't be restored by cleaning, and loose coating may come off under any washing. We'll check the surface first and adjust or recommend against cleaning where needed.
What to expect
- 1We identify the deck material and coating condition.
- 2We cover or protect pool equipment as needed.
- 3We clean with pressure matched to the surface, rinsing away from the pool.
- 4We do a final rinse and walk-through.
Local considerations in Palm Beach County
Splash-out, sprinklers and South Florida humidity keep pool decks damp. Many homeowners schedule a cleaning before the busy swimming season or before hosting.
Frequently asked questions
Will cleaning chemicals get in my pool?
We direct rinse water away from the pool and use only what the surface needs. Some light overspray is possible, so we recommend checking your water chemistry afterward.
Can you clean travertine?
Yes, at lower pressure. Natural stone is softer than concrete, so we take extra care.
Do you seal pool decks?
Our service is cleaning only. We can recommend when a clean deck would be ready for sealing by a specialist.
